Hi, recently purchased a mivec-md. I have owned one previously. The cylinder is not cutting down to two cylinders at idle, and stays at 1500rpm. When I change gear the revs keep up as well. I've noticed the water temp is quite low and looks like a thermostat problem, but could this cause MD not to engage?

I have an md aswell, 1gen, some times i get high revs for a couple of seconds when i stop, but it falls at the end

I changed the thermostat, it was stuck open. MD still does not engage but i assumed the ecu has been changed out. I owned an MD years back and this one does nothing an MD ecu would do.
