Hey. I have built 4g93 mivec but disconnected mivec.
I used pistons with 4g93 SOHC (I do not have pistons mivec). Before connection of mivec I would make sure that there is no knock. While the piston is in itself a more concave so much'm afraid of undercutting it at the valves. Do not tested it right away.
Therefore, I question whether abreast of how it will work on these pistons - purely theoretically. Applied is a metal head gasket with Carisma 1.8 gdi with a thickness of 0.3 mm (with an additional one hole drilled ...).
I ask about the how much smaller the piston 4g93sohc of 4g92mivec in ccm?
I ask because I do not know how big will the compression rate.
I assume that you both pistons and it is possible that it is checked.

Thank you in advance for your answer.
4g93mivec rules!

Best Regards,
RoXall.

I am not sure, but if you are using the 4G93 bottom end, block and pistons, is it not the area of the combustion chamber of the head that matters to you?

Rg93 sohc postons are flat top with around a 9.0 stock compression ratio. People have run them with the standard piston no issue and i personall am running factory style forged 4g93 turbo pistons.
