Yeah it was those nasty little pockets directly above the valve seats that you were pretty pleased with getting cleaned up to basically nothing.

Yeah the intake manifold has been match ported to suit the headwork that you got done for me Heath

Thankyou for sorting that out, Leon did an amazing job and it showed on the dyno, once again thanks Heath :D

Yeah I remember seeing the head after the job was done. It had been well and truly worked over. It certainly did the trick on the dyno.

From what I saw of the head there are BIG gains to be made over the standard one. Correct me if I'm wrong Heath but the big focus was on getting the ports to line up correctly with the valve seats.

That head was ported to match the cam spec's he provided. It's an aggressive port job.

There where a few things that where done to tidy it up. Port wall to Valve seat alignment (was out by a few mm to 5mm if i remember correctly), The chamber had lovely casting pin marks, A LOT of material was removed to match the manifold to the head. A lot of time was spent looking to improve the velocity of the head.

Cam - your quads - are they matched to your ports?

5mm???? thats quite a lot

Best head i've seen is 2mm out, factory castings are pretty poor.

Revived again !! i calculated the 4g94 R/S ratio to be 1.59...( 153mm / 95.8 ) which is more favorable than 4g93 mivec hibrid at 1.49..

but maybe the excess weight of the 2.0 block offsets the advantages..but that never stopped the Vtec gangs to swapped in B20B hehe

B20B still has the 89mm stroke though like the B18 and 4G93.

I think the ideal motor would be a 4G94 block with 4G93 crank and longer rods for the R/S ratio to be really good but that's a lot of work to get just a 1.8 MIVEC

Well fellas i had red a lot of this post people said that the 4g94 can not go high rev, that the stroke is to high 95.8mm that the oil pressure is low that the road is to long. Well i make the risk my car is a lancer 03 OZ Rally Edition am i dream of doing this project. I always had a fade in this project . I start from doing the block on the maching shop of full balance and used ACL Racing Bearing for the stroke i made the oil pump work done for more pressure i install k1 roads and use custume piston i make 250psi and 225psi compression not super high because i am using stock mivec cams, i make some goodies to the head and use a good throttle body 70mm port the intake and a good tuner and at least 3 years working in the car and having trouble with the selenoide is done. Let me share my 3 years of hard work for my 4G94 Mivec. Hope you like it...
