Close ratio. It's the 1.3 gearbox.

Long time since I've updated this, so here goes...

My car has been with JDModified for over a month now waiting for an Apexi Power FC standalone Ecu to be fitted and mapped as the AEM unit is causing all kinds of problems with the car ! However, I received a phone call today saying that the Ecu is still being made in Japan and wont be here till roughly the end of February ! I'm not at all happy with this as you can imagine, but there is nothing I can do ! Had I have known it was going to take this long to get here then I would've had my car sent down to the bodyshop to have all the bits and pieces sorted on it as I cancelled that to get the ecu fitted 1st! However, they are going to try and do something with the AEM unit for now so I can have the car back so I can start getting bits and pieces sorted with it. My M.O.T runs out the end of February as does my car tax ! To get the M.O.T sorted I need to fit my cat back on, but can't due to the length of the pipe. So i'm going to get a new cat back system which will be a bigger bore, ready for the bigger turbo upgrade later in the year :D I will also be getting a sports cat fitted so I don't have to keep messing around with changing the de-cat pipe over every year!
Also i'm going to be taking the rear plastic panels out so that they can be flocked to match the rest of my interior and also to accommodate this....

Yeah you guessed it a Cusco dash dodger roll cage :D This has had an extra mounting point on the drivers side for a door bar, which came with it :D So i'll be looking at getting the passenger side one done too so that it all matches :D
When the car get's booked into the bodyshop the cage will be getting resprayed red to match other parts of my car :D
The sunroof will be getting replaced with a blanking plate (Possibly carbon fibre)
I'm also looking into replacing my seats with Genuine Red Bride Zeta 3 Type L seats and Takata harnesses and having the rear seats re-trimmed red to match the Bride ones :D
I'm also looking for a black carpet and roof lining (one without the sunroof) This should then hopefully be it for the interior. LOL.
Then its time to up the power more....

Yeah it'll be remapped again when it has the new turbo fitted. As for the cams etc that's my plan for the end of the year/beginning of next year as I hope to rebuild my other mivec cylinder head :D

Little update.
I've had a 3" cat back system made and sports cat fitted ready for the turbo upgrade. Here are some pics and a video of how it sounds.

I wouldn't recommend using the mivec gearbox. Most people tend to use the 1.6 or 1.3 gearbox. I went for the 1.3 box, Mivec LSD, toda Racing lightweight flywheel and custom made 5 paddle race clutch.

Nice project there....I to am also building a 4G93 Turbo Mivec here in Barbados...may I ask what timing belt did you use? because I bought a 7MGTE Supra timing belt and I was told that the Pajero timing belt(159teeth) works also
