Do to the really high compression ratio you won't be able to run much boost.
You don't have to use a standalone ECU, a good piggyback should be able to cope.
You have to ask yourself what you want out of the car and how much time/money you're willing to invest before you do anything

Your cheapest option might be to score a GSR motor complete, use that block/pistons with the mivec head and GSR computer.

I've got a feeling that your existing box will bolt up to the GSR block.
Someone else will know for certain.
There's plenty of cheap second had GSR motors out there, most of them will need rebuilding.
Alternatively on TM there's

http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/car-par ... 991580.htm

Not that I'm promoting them or anything but an it's always an option depending on your finances.

GSR block is only a 4G93 one with oil squirters it will go on the same gearbox and same engine mounts as your existing engine.
