Hey all, new to the forums!

Just recently got my hands on this, 1993 Mirage Cyborg

Rebuilt engine/gearbox, fully resprayed gold with a bit of pearl (stripped to shell for respray), 2 1/4 exhaust, full custom kit, 17" momo rims, slotted front disks, front strut brace, tints, 5 star alarm, etc

I am in the market for new front seats and steering wheel, either OEM replacement in better condition than mine or aftermarket

Got it as a daily driver and an audio project car for SPL dB Drags, so half way through sorting out audio gear in it, at the moment I am running an Alpine 9887 headunit, Fusion Encounter front speakers, Sherwood 4ch amp for the fronts.

For daily audio I have a Caliber 2000d amp for the sub and a Soundstream Van Gogh 12" sub

For competition audio I am going to be running either a DD 3515 or 9515 15" sub, and either a Fusion FCA-4000d amplifier or another amp which I am looking at at the moment

But anyway, enough talk, onto photos!

To answer your question:

Not legal.

In Malaysia we have 2 types of enforcement that will be on the constant look out for dark tinted windows as it will be their easiest way of issuing summons (Fines Tickets).
They are -
1. Traffic Police Officers (Normally only issue fines tickets)

2. Road Transport Department Officers (JPJ).
(Need you to tear your dark tint off on the spot + Fine Tickets that are more expensive than the traffic summons + Need you to send your car to PUSPAKOM to get your car tested before can be released).

Some serious case offenders may get their car impounded and if the case not settled, the impounded car will be auctioned off maybe after 1 or 2 years at their impound yards. Money from the auctions will goes to their department profit.

By the way, in Malaysia, Cars are sold very expensive (Heavy taxation implemented by the government - Taxation ranging from 50% to 500% of the car priced based on the engine CC, the level of trims offered, models and brands)

Note: PUSPAKOM = Independent Gorverment Department responsible to test any car road worthy in Malaysia

hey jafa

is that a washing-machine hose that connects to your throttlebody to the fender? is that an open air system or you got a filter behind your fender or bumper similar to the AEM style?

i like the paint. cheers

Yea theres a pod filter attached to the other end thats sitting in behind the bumper. Gets a great supply of fresh COLD air from the drivers side vent in the front bumper. Part of the stock intake on the gen 1 cyborg is a plastic thing that sits behind the battery, take that out and theres a nice big hole there in to duct an intake to behind the bumper

Not sure what the piping actually is as the last owner did it, but yea its basically just a home job cold air intake

Only annoying this is you have to take the front bumper off to change the pod filter, and also its quite open to the threat of water being so close to the road with a straight supply of air to it. Wouldn't be going driving through puddles with it down there anyway

Been to a dyno day today at APT in Papakura (rolling road type, 77.1kW at wheels), heres my run. Apparently its running a bit lean, also that power curve is all over the place

Tested in 4th gear by the looks of it:

What could be causing the mirages power curve to be so eratic? I mean, compare that power curve to the one off my Jag (3.2 litre straight 6, 100% stock performance wise), done on same dyno on same day, etc.

Could be ignition breakdown. How do your sparkplugs look? Could do with replacement or regapping?

also check the compression of each cylinder, they could be low or uneven.
