any change in performance if I change mivec Gen 1 gearbox final drive to 4.8 :?:

another thing is it difficult to change the final drive ? like need to open the whole gearbox to access/change the final drive ?

please advise or discuss here ....... TQ :mrgreen:

The car will accelerate faster, and the top speed of each gear will be slightly slower. Also your cruising rpm will be higher.
Yes the gearbox needs to come out and it has to be opened up.
If I were to go to the effort, I would use a 5.0FD personally

5.1FD would be better suited to a low torque, high rev NA engine.
With the broad torque of a boosted engine I think stock FD works better.
Though I bet 5.1FD + boost makes for a very quick car

Badcar, where did ya get ya 5.2 from. Off the shelf part or did you have it made? Also whats ya top speed with this?
