I recently install a 4g93t turbo engine in my ck4 mivec lancer and after getting everything up and running. The check light will come on when I'm going into boost, did several scan which indicated knock sensor. Change the KS same thing, check harness, ecu, air flow same thing. Is there any other thing that I could check for? its effecting the performance when the check light come on, it seem like the system goes into a safe mode. Any additional info will be a great help, as anyone encounter this said problem?

Go back to Mivec

I wouldn't tend to argue with the diagnostics. Assuming that the replacement KS was fully functional and you've checked the wiring and continuity then the knock sensor is only a symptom of another fault.

Double check over your work. Timing may be too far advanced, ensure coolant system is bled properly, ensure you have the correct spark plugs; BKR6E (0.8mm gap). A fill up on rubbish fuel would also trigger it.

It depends which ECU you're using. What add ons too.
A mivec ECU won't run a turbo. Not without mods. Mivec is speed density, turbo is AFM.
If you've got a 93T ECU, the wiring is a bit different, it'll bring up a check light.
Did you change the wiring loom?

6G72 mivec Twin TDO5 20Gs up and running.
Scrapheap special making exactly 280 horses at some unknown rpm.
Engine dyno under construction.

It's easier to fool someone than it is to convince someone that they've been fooled.
