How are the TB's bored to 63mm in terms of reliabilty?
Do i have to get a bigger the butterfly along with it?

Will reboring it make it less capable of withstanding larger flow of air?

I'm thinking of having mine rebored to 63mm also, though i'm not sure if it's really safe to do. :?

Absolutely, think about what will happen if you have the a butterfly smaller than the intake diameter, how do you control airflow.

um not sure what you mean by larger , pressurised as in turbo?

If you do this it's best to get a adjustable fuel pressure regulator and bump the pressure up a bit, do it with a tune to get the best results and ensure you dont lean the engine out.

The 1.5mm taken out is nothing at all in terms of the total thickness of the wall on each side.

Just remember the butterfly has to be cut at a 5 or 10 deg angle so its fully closed/sealed when seated. Ie a throttle plate is actually oval. The narrow dimension across the throttle shaft should be the exactly same as the bore size.

You'll never get it precise enough. I just mounted the flat brass plate in the mill at a 10 deg angle and cut a circle.

hi slymer, where are you in malaysia, i've done 6A12 t.b rebore to 63[mm] including butterfly at rm150 only 2 years ago.
i had extra in hand so i just send them, within 1 day complete.
after tuning safc definately response better.

Dont forget to grind down the screw head to smooth edge and match/enlarge your intake plenum throttle body and gasket to 65[mm] or larger as well.
