ok i'm building a turbo mivec for my hatch back gen1 cyborg and i've decided to share the build. i have some more pics and i'll upload them soon..........so tell me what u think.

here are the pics of the connecting rods and pistons, i'm trying to build a strong engine,i get greedy sometimes when it comes to boost.

The pistons have been custom made to bring the compression ratio of the hybrid to 9:1 from the stock gsr's 8.5:1 (oh yeah it's going to be 1800) and there are 0.5mm oversized. It has a fully floating wrist pin.......trying to free up some ponies there, anyways a picture is worth a thousand words

will be nice to see the results from this.

For those interested - RPW manafactures mivec specific conrods and now mivec specific high compression forged pistons.

WE are building several rally motors right now and getting everything made in batches of three, two for two engines and one spare set. But if anyone wants any of this let me know

We already have pistons availbale in CP brand for the 4G93 engine in the 9.5 : 1 CR ratio in stock fully floating pin design

ok santa came a little early

4g9 Arospeed Adjustable Cam Gears..........pretty little items

Image

4g9 Aluminum Crankshaft Pulley...........this thing is about 1/3 the weight of the standard pulley

Image Image

And a 4g93 Metal 5 Layer Head Gasket..........this is really cool, it doesn't carry that annoying rubber seal in it that always leaks oil onto the gearbox. The gasket in the pic above has one, you could take a look and compare the two.

Most rebuilders just bore and hone a block to fit the new pistons. The problem with this is when the cylinder head is installed and torqued to spec the cylinder can twist, this twisting can be up to .005 of an inch. This creates a poor alignment with the crankshaft and causes some fritional loss. To eliminate this condition a Torque Plate is bolted to the block prior to honing, thus simulating the installation of a cylinder head torqued to spec. So if any twisting does occur, it will be Honed out, thus correcting the cylinder to crankshaft alignment...........Bottom line is more Pony Power
