Well i thought i should post my Red Mirage on here, its still the same old mirage i have had for 9 years now, just with a few changes as next season i plan to race in either SS2000 or RSCUP or a race series similar.

Well i drove the car to work a few times, you can drive any car daily really

Here are some pics of the old engine setup and dyno as requested, the 144kw run had smaller quads, i will be using the bigger quads that made me 149kw as shown on the dyno run below, i gained 5.5 kw @ wheels by increasing the size of the quads :D

Last pic is me at the trackday approx 3 hours before the engine blew up

I got the arms made, they are Chro -Moly, they have an adjustable rose joint end on the inner to change track/camber/toe, and run factory EVO 4-6 bushes where the arm meets the trailing arm and where the shock bolts to the arm, i only run coilovers but were designed to drop lower than a factory EVO arm so if you were to run these for example on an EVO the car would sit lower in the rear, absolutley irrelevant though when you have coilovers, its the adjustment that was the major reason for going this way as my car runs 20mm wider in the rear and then has a 20mm spacer added, so its 40 mm wider in the rear than factory and approx 50-60mm wider in the front than factory, at the moment an evo 5 front guard only just clears the front wheel

Just putting the ITBs back together after getting the intake manifold tidyed up and HPC coated, all i have left is to put the vacume canister on and run the vacume lines.

Still waiting on the pistons to arrive from the states but they should be showing up any day now then we just have to put the motor together and it can be setup into the mirage finally :D

Pistons have finally turned up, so the motor is pretty much getting assembled, had sump enlarged by 3.5L (winged and gated) and rocker cover now has no baffles and dash fittings welded into it, so i have completely done away with the PCV setup, hopefully engine will be back in the mirage in a few weeks. :D

 Sorry im not trying too, i just dont have that much to report yet, my mirage as of today is exactly as it is in that last photo, just about finished the inside wiring so once that goes in i can then sort the fan then cut the dash around the cage

I promise as soon as the engine is back i will take photos but to be fair it will look like every other 4G9 Mivec Motor, but obviously with quads and a few minor differences

I will also be getting a custom exhaust manifold made to suit my mirage as i could even save that from the old motor (it had a rod cut through the middle of it)

Ive got all the pictures still, sorry was just trying to tidy the build thread up, the new motor will be in the car in the next couple of weeks and will look alot better again than the old build, the car is completely different, dont want to give away all the secrets, but you will notice a major change in the new motor as soon as i post pictures up of it :D
