Good choice there alpine star....piston you must use 1.6 lay 100...compression is not bad...

i made mine..rechiped it and there's a bit difference.
changing the crank pulley gives extra gain and it feels more lighter after i install a vafc....

i was trying to engage my mivec yesterday n found that knocking sound happen while mivec open arnd 5.5k rpm onward during slow acceleration but if fast acceleration the knocking sound just happen at the period of mivec kicking which is 5.5k-6.5k rpm only .. besides, my car r difficult to start when my engine was heat...your feedback will be appriciate...

*i'm using 4g93 SOHC block without oil squirter's for the pistons, is it will affected?
*some ppl said timing to high, need to reduce a little bit..

Need help from Bart n other members......urgent.....

do you use the 1.8 piston or the mivec piston...
my friend uses the 4g92 mivec piston and he too had the same problem..knocking
so,he used back the 1.8 sohc piston and it solves the problem.
here's his contact:syawal: 0133071995

I'm sure it's knocking cause 1.6 mivec pistons is too high compression for 4g93 u have to use slightly lower compression piston.
