WOW! Nice driving Chelles. I LOVE your box. Any idea who it is made by? Is it close ratio from 1-5?

Thanks guys. It was awesome fun! Its one of my favourites events here in Wellington. Anyone in the North Island of New Zealand I very much recommend that you make a trip and give it a go.
I can see a few points to improve on for next time, its gold having video footage to see where you can make up the time. I want to find three seconds over the next two events so I am at the top end of my class. I was happy with 5th overall but I'm after top three!!! :)

Yup, the close ratio is all the way to 5th gear. However I don't know what sort of gear set it is as it came with the car when I bought it 5 years ago.

I have the sneaky suspicion it is an Azul gearkit as they are the only kit made from 1st to 5th. Sweet box, unfortunately they dont make them anymore.

The 5th gear was custom made here in NZ, it didn't come with it.

Hear, hear. It's not a racecar until it's impractical and difficult to get out of. It's about time you made it official...

Who would have thought ay? My little car has enough power and torque to do that to a clutch.
Just as well I was doing a check inside and out of the car otherwise that could have been annoying when it decided to self destruct properly.

A little bit more maintenance on my race car.

Thought some of you may be interested to see these solid style bushes that came out of the bottom arm from the front suspension.

Solid and welded in. These have a small pillow bush system in side and are two part.

Grinder required to get it to bits for the new bushes to be installed.

Cross member bolt doing its best to escape.

All sorted with a change to a stud and nut system.

Hey, just interested to know what you swapped to. I am just about to go solid on my front bushes. Wanna get rid of the old setup?
