The Civic has a B20 VTEC?
What cams are in it at the moment?

Yes the cars are different, but they are the same... (FWD N/A Hatchback with variable valve timing/lift)

yes, cams are ITR , think there are two things , need to get better injectors , on now have 340 cc from Ford Probe Turbo and cannot get good idle on them ,second is that B18C4 got different valves to Type-R http://wickedinnovation.net/downest/ran ... ompare.JPG
( thinner and different angle ) and they got far worst flow .. and this is where i m loosing HP. Actually was aware of this but now it's too late :-) it's a budget build so I not gonna go to crazy ..I was only going to change seals in the head and end up doing all sort of stupid sh!t. with that engine
But ITR with intake and exhaust usually make 210 so I not far away ... but car survived 4 hours on the dyno so I m happy and honestly when the Vtec kicks in it goes hard   and gives you goosebumps in your arms
some vid :-)

Still with ITR cams I thought it'd make more power considering they are a good upgrade for non R B18C and even B16a.
What rpm is the peak power?
And you think 340cc injectors are not enough? What are the B18C5/7 injectors?

My friend who tuned several Hondas including this one said ITR cams adding itself 5-8 hp comparing to B18 /B16 , and ITR valves and some head work around valves ( stock in ITR ) gives the most , like 10-15 , so overall Type-R head would give round 20 more that B16/b18c4 head.

B4 car made 165 with a jdm B18C that suppose to have 180. So will see next step is very expensive .. including head work, bigger or at least typeR valves , stage 2 cams with upgraded valve springs and than you can maybe get 220-230 :-) You can get more but you will rev the engine to it's death :-)
Injectors are big enough but they must have different nozzle and spray differently which is not optimal for Honda that is why the idle is so hard to set and my friend spend hours on laptop with Crome trying play with idle compensation , loops etc .. still the idle now is 1200 and not very stable ..

by the way I just took engine loom out of the Cyborg
Winter service ..

I want to one day respray my car (color change) but was thinking about doing the engine bay by myself with cans, and only the outside by a professional.

Are you doing a full car respray?
