 nah it not first car and i have a full licence, but it makes people stay away from you in auckland traffic.

Battery bracket failed this morning under heavy braking so now i have to fix that. looks like it was trying to weld its way out as it shorted out a little after the bracket failed.

Also the diag connector doesn't work anymore as it missing the 12v always on. I have a bluetooth unit for it now so i can data and gps log on my phone. So i'll have to find a easy way to rewire that :(

Well after a long break not working on the car thing are now moving again.

Cusco 4.2kg flywheel
Factory LSD
5:1 final drive
Are all going in at once in a new gearbox. Current clutch is going and release bearing started to rattle. Not bad for a worn clutch from the manual conversion.

Don't have semislicks on but will get it to Hampton soon to see how it's goes.
Drove it in the storms last week and still goes really well even in heavy rain running re011 on the front.

Rear lower brace maybe fitted soon, but the front inner guard bracing won't be going in until there is reason to pull the guards off.

Holy duck!

It whines like a supercharger and has zero grip through four gears. Ok so it's raining and running semislicks but it goes too quick. Have to be very light in first as it rev up so fast with the light flywheel. Grips around corners very well now even in the rain, it pulls hard around.

LSD that came out looks mint, not sure what it is yet but collect the parts tomorrow so will clean it and check.

Now I have to find double strength brave pills to drive it. 200kph on Hampton here we come.

No idea had foot to the floor and hung on. Otherwise was stuck in traffic. Will have official timing round Hampton downs soon so we will see what it's like. Bit worried about lift off oversteer which is not good without and LSD now it's corners tighter it maybe hard to catch as it comes around.

Also fitted 1998 rs gear set so lower 5th too.

Looking forward to fanging around with no cops. Aims is to hit 200 kph and get 1:22:00 lap time. The turbo boys are looking for 1:19:00 and 2.2 vtec racers do 1:17:00 so maybe able to get there.

Will be wet and semis are about 3mm tread so could be big balls time. Car is stable to 170 kph then it get twitchy in standing water on road tires.

I have full wrc fia race gear for rally so will be all kitted out with neck brace etc and three layer suit. My gear cost more then my car!

Got the most bling pure gold rims to put the semis on so car no longer looks factory. The stock rims really made the car blend into traffic but not anymore it reflects light all over the place and you car see the front brakes, which shocks most people.

Gearbox guy was most impressed at how quick it goes.

Next I guess is new engine since I have an rs and stock sitting around.

Hey Rabbit, Is that geniune Mirage cup banner? I really want if you are selling your car? I know it is stuck on, but would be possible to remove it; as I really want to purchase it

Cheers

Pretty sure I could count the number of existing genuine Mirage Cup banners using one hand. Not even all of it...
